Food Corporation of India’s Recruitment to Category III Posts, 2012

The Food Corporation of India (FCI) was setup in the Food Corporation Act 1964, the objectives of the Food Policy is Effective price support, distribution of foodgrains and maintaining satisfactory level of operational.

Food Corporation of India has played an important role in India's success in converting the crisis management oriented food security into a stable security system. Food Corporation of India Objectives is providing farmer’s remunerative prices, make food grains available at reasonable prices, maintain buffer stocks and price stabilization.

Food Corporation of India (FCI) has announced a recruitment for total of 6544 Assistants posts. These vacancies are in Grade – III (under Post A, B, C, D) with a pay scale from Rs. 9300 to 22940 per month.

Eligibility criteria, viz., age & qualification

Educational Qualification:

1.     Post Code A:  Graduate Degree in any discipline recognized University with proficiency in use of computers.
2.     Post Code B:  Bachelor of Commerce from a recognized University with proficiency in use of computers.
3.     Post Code C: B.Sc. in Agriculture
or
B.Sc. with any of the following subjects like Botany/Zoology/Bio-Technology/Bio-Chemistry/Microbiology/Food Science
or
B.Tech./BE in Food Science/Food Science & Technology/Agricultural
Engineering/Bio-Technology

4.     Post Code D: Graduate Degree in any discipline

Selection Process:

The Post of Selection will be based on a Written Examination which will be conducted by SSC (Staff Selection Commission).  This written examination will consist of 2 papers as detailed below for General, Depot and Accounts Cadres (Post Codes A, B and D). Candidates applying for Technical (Post Code C) will appear in Paper-I & Paper-III. The written examination in Paper I and II will be of Higher Secondary Level and Paper III will be of degree level. 

Note: Paper-I of the written examination will be held on 11 November 2012 and Paper-II and
III of this examination will be held tentatively on 6 January, 2013. Depending upon the number of candidates, Commission, in its discretion may hold this examination for Paper-I on a later date also.

  • On-line application will be available from 25 August.2012 to 19 September 2012 for Part I Registration and 25 August 2012 to 21 September 2012 for Part II Registration.
  • The application fees of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred) only. Candidates will pay either in the form of challan or net banking through SBI (State Bank of India).
  • No Fees need for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/PH and all women.
  • No needed to be sent any documents to SSC along with the application.
